Ang Drama Sa Capitol Grounds
My weekend was indeed a very fruitful one, despite the pressure in preparing the things needed for the board meeting and stupid letters drafted, I managed to enjoy the Saturday evening with my friends, Ivi and Bern. We tried our best to squeeze in the crowd (Jologs) to witness Chai’s grand entrance to stardom at the Capitol Grounds.
Tiff was already there at the front, and because of the Stampede Paranoia, the security system was really tight, even if there were still spaces on the second and third fence, it was already closed. Tiff was alone cheering and shouting for Chai.
I almost picked up a fight with the people-in-charge (the one wearing green) but to no avail. Then somebody announced that in 9 minutes the show would be starting. We hurriedly walked back to Ivi’s place, approximately 100 meters away, we passed by an open TV glued to PINOY DREAM ACADEMY. Damn! It’s already starting. We missed the production number.
After the 100 m marathon dash, we finally settled into a comfortable couch and never took our eyes off the boob-tube.
We discriminated, make fun, sighed, cursed and criticize the 0ther Dreamers. They are Chai’s competitors. They should be eliminated!
We were also tickled by the Japanese guy who cried when his name was mentioned for admission to the academy. We laughed over “Pokwang” from Dubai and that no-talent half-breed Pinoys who danced and sung hip-hop.
And the last batch of students to be judged were finally announced, the last 5 students to be granted for a scholarship. Dream on! We conditioned ourselves not to expect that much, seeing a friend dancing and singing in the national TV is already enough. Expecting that she’d be included would just break our heart.
There is no doubt about Chai’s talent. She is a jewel but you would never know what’s jogging on the minds of the big boss.
We crossed our fingers and held our breath.
Toni said, “Mahilig siya sa showbiz…”.
(We lost hope. Ok ra. Ok ra na. Si Handrew najud tingali na.)
Tonie continued, “…she is a writer… behind the camera.”
We knew it! You could not imagine how we shouted. And perhaps Tiffy who was really there where it all happens must have shouted like she had never shouted before.
To Chai, wish you good luck sa career. May you survive the pressures as you enter the biggest challenge of your life. We never expected that we’d see you go this far.
Right. We need to dream. And we don’t just wait for this dream to be just a dream. We need to pursue it.
You inspire me Chai. I may not be good in dancing and singing but somewhere along my interests, I excel. It is only up to me to discover it.
I may not like what I am doing right now. But as what Ivi had said, everything that’s happening has a reason.
Let’s dream guys. Dream B-I-G!
Ang Twins ni Jeza
I wasn’t invited but you know that for a fact that we have learned in UP how to gate-crash. (smile)
The following day, Sunday, we woke up around 9 am after dreaming of being included in the PINOY DREAM ACADEMY Season (n).
The night before, Ivi and Bern were already on a discussion whether they will go to Carmen or not. I was just listening.
I woke up, and right then and there decided that I’ll go with her to Carmen. I haven’t seen Jessa for a long time na (a few months is very long na).

We arrived at Carmen’s Church just in time for the picture taking. Surprise! Jeza was very surprised to see me. Uhummnnnn Let's put it the other way around, I was sooOOoo surprised to see her so thin.
Anyways, okies rajud kaayo ang twins. Attention everybody, this is Ivi's first time to be a Ninang. She chose Florence. Such a pretty baby but dili pa pwede mag-compare if whose prettier between Florence and Andrei.
Next baptism would be Zoelle’s… hope we could all come. And I’m making it a point to really attend and see my partner’s angel.
