Yesterday (Sunday), while Jash is asleep I scanned the books that I have in the cabinet and came across Frank Mihalic’s 1000 Stories You Can Use. Then I remembered that this was Ivi’s Christmas gift to me last December. So I hurriedly read the notes she had on the first page and a lot of memories came back.
I really miss schooling. I miss the different kind of deadlines and projects. The production classes, the forced writing exercises which we loathed but enjoyed. The lunch discussions, the Worm Songs, my Library Moments with library Pals (Okkin and Ivi to mention a few), and of course the THESIS modes and sessions.
Hahahaha… got deadlines to make today for work but I remained stagnant for the boss is not around so here I am remembering the good old days and I’m feeling great despite the fact that I hated Mondays and most especially working here in this abysmal office.
How I wish that today would be May 22, 2007!
But then again, I am reminding myself that I should be thankful that I have a work, that I am working inside a well-ventilated office, that at least I have some good officemates to share sentiments with, that at least I have my mama and papa who understands my situation, that I have Yotchie and his love, that I have my sister who never fails to encourage me, and that there is Jash who always makes me smile.
Still about yesterday, when Yotchie arrived late afternoon, we had a hearty dinner and spent the quite evening listening to his mp3 lists and reading aloud in random order stories from 100 Stories You Can Use. We also had discussions about his personal life, a little about room management, his love life (which always excites me)! Ahahahahahaha
I miss reading! I miss my school life! Well, just wait until next year. Ey school, wait for me…. I’m coming back.
