My movie dates with Pangs has become an addiction that a week would cry if we don't watch at least four movies. Early in January, Pangs randomly (i thought) played 127 hours because it is from Danny Boyle. I didn't know that it was based on a true story and that is was also nominated in the Oscar's. I closed my eyes on the part when he cut his arm. Swear! I must be jumping squirming and biting anything I could put into my mouth! 127 Hours is definitely a movie adventure-lovers should watch! The editing and musical scoring is definitely a Boyle mark. Recreating the ordeal of Aaron Ralston was no easy job. But since genius people exists...it was a perfect execution. James Franco too! The Best!
My lack of enthusiasm for Black Swan shames me.... I slept thrice watching it and never did finish it UNTIL I bumped into the words "psychological thriller". Then I said... 'Tan-awon natog usab Pangs'. 'Nah! Makatulog na sad ka.' The fourth time I tried watching it, I glued myself to the tube! :) Amazing si Natalie Portman. It just dawned on me how important it is for actors to be SUPER VERSATILE! Yati! Kalisod mag-ballet dancing! And she did it. She transformed into the black swan! ;) Great work! Best Actress jud!
The King's Speech left me speechless. I stutter. When you are one of those who rely on reading the synopsis before watching it : the story is BORING. But no...there was never a boring part in the film. Colin First and Helena Bonham Carter performed their regal roles perfectly. And Geoffrey Rush! Winner! :) Ambot! Basta! Tan-aw mo! Soooooo touching!
