The Colors of La Boca
Pink Palace
The people in Argentina named their places so simply, that the pink palace is called a pink palace and their new port a new port :)
Right behind me, the closed windows, is where Evita used to deliver her speeches.
Don't Cry For Me Argentina
When i learned that I am going to Argentina, I was hoping to visit the tomb of Evita Peron or the house of che Guevarra perhaps...but never expected that we would really visit the tomb. So when the tour guide announced that we are going to recoleta, i held my breath.

First Night in Buenos Aires

But sagdi na lang... just like how I imagined it.. Buenos Aires is very lovely. After we arrived in the airport, we went straight to Marriott Plaza Hotel. Google it and yes it is right across San Martine Plaza and is along Florida St. :)

Leaving The Surreal Town of Iguasso
Finally, I hat the opportunity to seat in the window side but unfortunately I was right where the wing is... Haaaay! Anyways, I would love to see more of it. :)
Singing Rocks: The Grand Itaipu Dam
The following day after we visited the Brazilian side of Iguasso Falls, we checked out of Golden Tulip and went to visit Itaipu Dam. This dam was completed just last 2007, a magnificent technological advancement for the people of Brazil & Paraguay.
It is one of the largest hydroelectric dam in the world and is one of the seven wonders of modern world. Around the dam, they built somewhat like their own neighborhood. It has its own security, own research labs, manmade lakes, and parks all built to preserve the ecosystem that lives around this monstrous dam.
At first, I was really wondering why we have to visit a dam, but when we were ushered to a little theater where we watched a 15-minute video about the dam and why it was constructed—I clapped my hands.
Itaipu means the rock that sings in Guarani. The dam is named after a little island where it was constructed.
This dam has a very interesting history and its construction was a proof that if countries will work together, nothing is impossible. Please google more about the dam. Hehehehehehe I am in a hurry and internet connection here in Marriott Plaza Hotel is a luxury.
