Evening Symptoms

My Anger Management had failed me again. I should not have been that really mad at him, I should not have shouted at him but do you know the feeling of getting all the work done in a flash just to be there? :(

Traffic jam and brawling stomach. Yes. Who would have the right mind? Swear!

Headache and stupid reasoning.

Drama and Baptism

Ang Drama Sa Capitol Grounds

My weekend was indeed a very fruitful one, despite the pressure in preparing the things needed for the board meeting and stupid letters drafted, I managed to enjoy the Saturday evening with my friends, Ivi and Bern. We tried our best to squeeze in the crowd (Jologs) to witness Chai’s grand entrance to stardom at the Capitol Grounds.

Tiff was already there at the front, and because of the Stampede Paranoia, the security system was really tight, even if there were still spaces on the second and third fence, it was already closed. Tiff was alone cheering and shouting for Chai.

I almost picked up a fight with the people-in-charge (the one wearing green) but to no avail. Then somebody announced that in 9 minutes the show would be starting. We hurriedly walked back to Ivi’s place, approximately 100 meters away, we passed by an open TV glued to PINOY DREAM ACADEMY. Damn! It’s already starting. We missed the production number.

After the 100 m marathon dash, we finally settled into a comfortable couch and never took our eyes off the boob-tube.

We discriminated, make fun, sighed, cursed and criticize the 0ther Dreamers. They are Chai’s competitors. They should be eliminated!

We were also tickled by the Japanese guy who cried when his name was mentioned for admission to the academy. We laughed over “Pokwang” from Dubai and that no-talent half-breed Pinoys who danced and sung hip-hop.

And the last batch of students to be judged were finally announced, the last 5 students to be granted for a scholarship. Dream on! We conditioned ourselves not to expect that much, seeing a friend dancing and singing in the national TV is already enough. Expecting that she’d be included would just break our heart.

There is no doubt about Chai’s talent. She is a jewel but you would never know what’s jogging on the minds of the big boss.

We crossed our fingers and held our breath.

Toni said, “Mahilig siya sa showbiz…”.

(We lost hope. Ok ra. Ok ra na. Si Handrew najud tingali na.)

Tonie continued, “…she is a writer… behind the camera.”

We knew it! You could not imagine how we shouted. And perhaps Tiffy who was really there where it all happens must have shouted like she had never shouted before.

To Chai, wish you good luck sa career. May you survive the pressures as you enter the biggest challenge of your life. We never expected that we’d see you go this far.

Right. We need to dream. And we don’t just wait for this dream to be just a dream. We need to pursue it.

You inspire me Chai. I may not be good in dancing and singing but somewhere along my interests, I excel. It is only up to me to discover it.

I may not like what I am doing right now. But as what Ivi had said, everything that’s happening has a reason.

Let’s dream guys. Dream B-I-G!

Ang Twins ni Jeza

I wasn’t invited but you know that for a fact that we have learned in UP how to gate-crash. (smile)

The following day, Sunday, we woke up around 9 am after dreaming of being included in the PINOY DREAM ACADEMY Season (n).

The night before, Ivi and Bern were already on a discussion whether they will go to Carmen or not. I was just listening.

I woke up, and right then and there decided that I’ll go with her to Carmen. I haven’t seen Jessa for a long time na (a few months is very long na).

We arrived at Carmen’s Church just in time for the picture taking. Surprise! Jeza was very surprised to see me. Uhummnnnn Let's put it the other way around, I was sooOOoo surprised to see her so thin.

Anyways, okies rajud kaayo ang twins. Attention everybody, this is Ivi's first time to be a Ninang. She chose Florence. Such a pretty baby but dili pa pwede mag-compare if whose prettier between Florence and Andrei.

Next baptism would be Zoelle’s… hope we could all come. And I’m making it a point to really attend and see my partner’s angel.

Maui, It's Alright

The night is supposed to end with a happy farewell but everything was turned into ashes. The sudden 360º flip of Sir Aug’s mood and the petty discussion over money-matters isn't really what we all expected.

Miscommunication. Pride. Influence of Alcohol.

Sigh! It was such a great night. A night that should have been about friendship and smiles. But the finale that we hoped to be was replaced by anger, hurting words, and tears.

Maui, if you are reading this, you never cheated on him. Nothing could changed the friendship that we had build. For a hort period of time, I came to appreaciate what you are and even if you did something nasty, that's you, and that could never taint any of the good things that you have showned. By this time, your'e probably at the comfort of your family and friends. Me, I'm still busy here.. board meeting tommorrow!

Freezed Memories

RockYou slideshow | Vi ew | Ganahan Ka?

I just really miss my classmates, of course everybody could relate to that feeling, that "hang-over-feeling" of togetherness and eternal bonding. When could I have my own digicam? I confess! I am really a camera addict! Placed next to writing is doing photography. Argh! When could I become a proffessional photographer? Who would like to start a business with me? Ahahaha

Here I am! Dreaming again perhaps Vera did really made a nice title by putting "Them Dreamers" on her friend's link...

Dreams Of A Dreamer

Dreams can come true.

I never believed that dreams could come true. I looked at it simply as a childish thinking, a fairy tale and like reading a book of fiction; dreams are only in the mind, set in another place & time and could never come true.

Forgive my grader explanation, I was deeply reviewing the past significant events and the people in my life, had been sorting it out, trying to categorize, at least yah know, I could start a bit of organization in my life.

I dreamed of becoming a very “sikat” author of a book read not just by millions but translated as well to other languages in top 25 different countries. Char! Dba it’s a really big dream, but who cares, dreaming is for free.

Exits In Life

For most of the time, I am stuck in the Internet (the only way to entertain myself), and I could hardly believe that it was already a quarter to 12 noon and then later on it was already 3pm. Life is turning so fast, just like a film strip presentation, you should not take your eyes away from it or else you’d miss some of the interesting facts.

I’m kinda sad coz Maui would soon be parting away from the office and she’s one of the few office friends I’ve got. But I am also happy coz finally she could spread her wings and continue her flight towards that exciting horizon of life.

Weary Days

While riding on the jeep on my way to work, I was thinking and deeply contemplating on what would I do to encourage my self to get up and force myself to work with things that for once never interest me. An administrative task bores me! Just seating down here, waiting for the water to boil (I mean seating down doing nothing during the official hours of work) only to realize that there are a lot if things to prepare but I can’t proceed because there is that certain executive who has a problem that he himself cannot solve because he himself is the problem.

Time Management. Focus. Setting Priorities and Goals.

No matter how many times you attend such forums and discussions, if the person concerned does not apply it in the real sense, everything is put to waste.

I blame that executive for the aggravating fact that I could not to go home on the official log out time. That my oh so precious times would be cut down, to think, that they are already exceeding with the number of days of office work, wala pajud ma-kontento!

What keeps me going ,what holds back my spirit and wraps my senses away from fragility is the happy thought that on a Sunday, I get to be with Yotchie and every time I wake up, there is Jash to tickle my stress away of the previous day’s stupid weary hours.

ON THE COOK-OUT ---Was so hurt, guilty and whatever feeling there is… I missed the COOK-OUT! Hope you guys could understand. I went home early Friday afternoon to be with JAsh.. was so tired.. In fact I just escaped from my boss. Went out of the office hurriedly and turned off my phone!

I know sooner or later, I’d see pics and notes of the cook-out posted over at the yahoo group. Please break the news and the chikkas gently. I beg!

An Incurable Disease

A young guy tried to snatch my phone last night while I am on my way home. Due to a faulty excuse of an executive who does not value other people's time, I logged out too late! And is he the one at risk? He who has his own car and a secure life ahead?

I praised the young man’s courage on trying to make me a prey on our society’s incurable disease. Or maybe, just maybe, he is just really one of those bad guys destined to make my night a different one.

If not because of the 5 Messages I saw on the screen, and if not because the first jeep I rode had a bad engine, then, perhaps, last nights incident could not have become a reminder to me that such things that I’ve heard and seen over the news could also happen to me.

Now I know that I am not really living in a fictitious life.

Stop the day dreaming.

Slapped myself and says that I am A-L-I-V-E!

Musings of The Frustrated

My sister borrowed a book from their ever updated library (unlike ours during my college days wherein we have to dig for books that we need) and I was wondering why she was so ecstatic.

Without hesitations, she magically opened the book and landed on the page where she read aloud the title, "Today With Kris Aquino". Animatedly, she started reading the first few paragraphs and to my ear's delight I was listening intently. Savoring each word.

“Kwentong Siyudad” is a magical book that tackles about stories that reflects our life, struggles, fantasies, success, failures and what have you (In Memory of Maggienaka).

Published by the Ateneo de Manila University Press, this book of short-stories is mini-skirt in length but bridal in content. It is divided into five parts but due to time constraints and my failing eyes, I just read five stories (3 of it unfinished).

Part V. Naghihingalong Siyudad.

“Today With Kris Aquino” by Rommel Barona Rodriguez really tickles my soul. Owing some experiences in TV Production, I find it very intriguing on how he was able to come up with such kind of structure. It’s just like writing a script. I am not a fan of Kris but I admire her tackless (sic) attitude. Adoniz, the man with a vagina (Adoniz, Ang Lalaking May Hiwa), is not just a ball of yarn that tackles sexual orientation, it is about our confused world. Our yearnings to become what we wanted to be but then are confused because we are not sure of what we really want.

Me? I want to become a lawyer. I had it instilled in my mind. But prior to that, I wanna become a college professor. Hah! But as years passes by and as I embrace new experiences and meet influential people, these thinkings (sic) would surely be tainted. Because we tend to be confused as another good thing pass and filled up by another opportunity which should not have come at that moment.

Precision and timing. This is how we play the game of life. We are all guest of Kris Aquino. We are all judged by her dainty tongue in front of the national television. This is life. And it’s up to us to discover who are the Kris Aquino’s in our life.

Part IV. Siyudad ng Tao.

Talking about people means talking also about myself, yourself, ourselves. Mes de Guzman’s “Da UltraInterMegalaktik Pinoy Hero” is the stereotypical Action-Bida that we saw in our very own movie house during its reign in the 90’s.

The story is about (forgot his name nah—paita oi, I no longer have the 24 hours memory retention). Basta it’s an action-packed story wherein despite the fact that he is outnumbered, with a battalion of goons attacking him equipped with all the high-tech armory gadgets, he is still alive. And even if he fires his gun anywhere, the bullets are self- guided, that it will hit the goon even if he is hiding like a cockroach in the cement crack.

“Wan Man Show”. This is the typical Pinoy Action Film. “Walang Kawala Ang Mga Bala!” And of course the bida here is set to rescue his loved ones from the leader of the goons. A black leather jacket and a moustache. The usual get-up, yah know nah!

I was never a fan of pinoy action movies. They bore me. The same boring plot revolves around the Padilla brothers, Ronie Rickets, Philip Salvador, Bong Revilla, Revilla Senior, Cesar Montano (apil pa ba cya?), and who they are pa...

Of course we can understand the quality coz of low budget but this should not have been used as an excuse. Hay! My floating mind is again wondering in the Desert of Dreams that once I became a film maker.

(I skipped stories in Part III)

Part II. Intramuros Sa Aking Isipan

“Kalatas” is more of "kamangmangan". It's about a story of an orphaned young man living with his grandfather and their survival is on that colors that made Joyce Jimenez alive in our eyes by the higgway. The young man was uneducated. he may not be conversant but he has the eye for details, the hands for painting, the heart of an innocent. And when hes granpa died, after he buried himself to tears, it was time to face the eal world, that he is alone.

Alone in a harsh world.

I Miss School

Yesterday (Sunday), while Jash is asleep I scanned the books that I have in the cabinet and came across Frank Mihalic’s 1000 Stories You Can Use. Then I remembered that this was Ivi’s Christmas gift to me last December. So I hurriedly read the notes she had on the first page and a lot of memories came back.

I really miss schooling. I miss the different kind of deadlines and projects. The production classes, the forced writing exercises which we loathed but enjoyed. The lunch discussions, the Worm Songs, my Library Moments with library Pals (Okkin and Ivi to mention a few), and of course the THESIS modes and sessions.

Hahahaha… got deadlines to make today for work but I remained stagnant for the boss is not around so here I am remembering the good old days and I’m feeling great despite the fact that I hated Mondays and most especially working here in this abysmal office.

How I wish that today would be May 22, 2007!

But then again, I am reminding myself that I should be thankful that I have a work, that I am working inside a well-ventilated office, that at least I have some good officemates to share sentiments with, that at least I have my mama and papa who understands my situation, that I have Yotchie and his love, that I have my sister who never fails to encourage me, and that there is Jash who always makes me smile.

Still about yesterday, when Yotchie arrived late afternoon, we had a hearty dinner and spent the quite evening listening to his mp3 lists and reading aloud in random order stories from 100 Stories You Can Use. We also had discussions about his personal life, a little about room management, his love life (which always excites me)! Ahahahahahaha

I miss reading! I miss my school life! Well, just wait until next year. Ey school, wait for me…. I’m coming back.

On My Way To work

Woke up with a level 5 phone ringing! And nobody even bothered to turned it off. It was our neighbor's phone. What could I do? Shout? It was 6:30 am.

Took a hurried bath! It's a MOnday! All the cars in the world are honking! Intersections and fly-overs is surely swarming by now.

Thank God I arrived early today and then again while I was on my way to the work place, I was greeted by long-dead cockroaches by the trashbin, past Nikkei Garden Hotel I took a short glimps of a rotten rat as big as a cat.

Mandaue is festered with flies!

The usual garbage collector truck is in time as I pass by the last bin on my way to where i am sitting right now.

Heavenly Bliss

Last night i tasted him again- and this morning too, savoring yet again a prohibited bliss. How could i refuse his acrid, heavenly sweetness?

Barely two months ago when i first tried him, my tongue seemed to leap out of my mouth in ecstacy. He was a hooker. I told my friends about this experience and they all laughed in disbelief. You’d never know unless you’d try it yourself.

Three times more expensive than the ordinary price, this elixir, not an aphrodisiac, is not just found anywhere but in Ayala and Rustan’s Mango. If you’re lucky enough, you can find one displayed yet partly hidden to arouse more curiosity, at the grocery section.
Just ask for the SUKANG PINAKURAT! Best sawsawan in town. Try it with lechon, barbecue, broiled, grilled and roasted meat, fish and any other seafoods. Shake well before using.

Things In MY Computer Table

Inkless. So I can't print necessary documents to keep me busy for the whole day. I made a follow-up with the PURCHASER. She just nods her head. Silence.

Finally found my calculator. It went for a vacation in another table. Mighty glad that I made a short walk around the tables in the adjacent rooms.

Scissors. Cutter. Faber Castell Highlighter. A book on how to write buisness letters and other letters which I never bother to open.

Two layered dilapidated rack. Used in stacking IN and OUT docus.

My bestfriend POST-ITs which are now slowly losing its pages.

Some receipts. A National Bookstore plastic. Tuseran capsule. Two diskettes (colors pink and blue). A violet Cd.

The COmputer (of course). And on top of it is my calendar which I only occasionally check.

Inventory done.

A rainy cold morning to each everyone.

Kapoya na work oi niya dili ka gnhan. Bitaw! Grabee... gikapoy na ko!

Mix Cultures

We all feel suffocated.

The burning scent of “Chinese Sticks” filled the entire office as my Chinese Bosses went from room to room. I look at them pass through me one by one in their corporate suits as if they were ghosts.

Every seventh day of the seventh month, Chinese would throw a feast, an offering, for the souls who are believed to be thriving in their own homes and establishments. And so there they go, bowing and muttering to invite the entire ghost living in the office to devour the donuts and munchkins my boss had prepared.

And oh! My master also ordered lechon baboy and manok, siomai, lots biscuits, beer, wine, rice, hopia and fruits. All the main doors were posted with these goodies. And I just mighty hope the “ghosts” will finish everything off before the real ghosts attack.

We also do the halad every November for the All Soul’s Day but not to invite spirits for feasts (this is what I understand). We do the halad in the belief that long dead relatives and love-ones would come back and pay us a visit on their honored day.

My master said that their practice very 07-07 is already a mixed culture. Ahehehehe Chinese really loves to mix things, right? No wonder some of them becomes abnormal because of their mix bloods. No offense. Just an observation.

Crazy Cranberry and Boy-Short

Took another test from TICKLE and here's an interesting answer i received. It's called "What's Your Fruit Flavor?" This made me contemplate and look back. Read on.

Jaki, your flavor is Crazy Cranberry.

We have to hand it to you. With your self-confidence, gumption, and joie de vivre, you're usually two steps ahead of the pack, willing to try anything once (and usually twice). We'd guess that kind of devil-may-care attitude has won you loads of admirers, particularly those wanting in on some of that positive energy (or maybe just wondering what the heck you're going to do next). Regardless, you're always refreshing with a little kick — a combination sure to juice up any crowd. You're a real self-starter, and tend to be motivated by the unknown. For you, the possibilities are endless. And that kind of adventuresome attitude is contagious. That's probably why people tend to look to you to shake things up — you never know what kind of fabulous cocktail you'll come up with.

And here's another test i took which i find interesting. The test is called "What's Your Panty Personality?"

Jaki, you're a Boy-Short

Sporty and fun, you love pumping up your adrenaline, whether through an intense workout or a hot kiss. After all, just because you know your way around the track doesn't mean you don't like to be girly. In fact, you know that there's no better way to bring out your flirty, feisty, and fun side. And that's what makes you a cute and sassy pair of boy-shorts.Always trying your best to be the optimist, you love encouraging people to go after what they want. That's what makes you such an energetic and outgoing friend. You love going the extra mile. Keep on truckin'!

And lastly i took the test "What Tickles You Pink?". The results of my test are as follows. Come on... Take your own test too at http://tickle.com . Enjoy answering your own tests too!

Jaki, Sweet Gestures tickle you pink

Hand-written love letters stuffed into your purse. Giving up a seat on the bus to a pregnant woman. You love the little things in life — and you know that they can make all the difference. Whether you're giving, receiving, or just watching from afar, nothing brightens up your day like a token of affection or seeing people treat each other with kindness.Thoughtful and caring, you often put the needs of others above your own. That's why friends and family trust you, your goals, and advice — they know that you always have the best of intentions at heart. It's simple really, making other people happy makes you happy. What could be better than that?

From The Grave

Contempating.

Yes! I'm hurt.

Mix feelings.

Why do past haunts me? I am no longer concerned about it but it pissed me seeing those pics on that page and those sentences that were nothing but pure air out of a bottle that has been emptied a long time ago.

I hate it.

I should not really feel this way. But it pains me....

I must not be affected.

Oh! I would love posting it but to show some respects over lost souls, why should I? Should I hate him for that? For clicking the "approve" button? Should I?

Will he accept my reasons? He does not understands me. Or maybe it's just that my mind is so imaginative?

Begginning today, I had to stop assuming that he understands me. Or is it that "them" could not really understand "they"?

No tears tonight. I assure.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Watched "SUKOB" a few hours ago. Yes, I watched with my eyes half close and biting my hanky just to make my scream a bit more decent to the ears.

Perhaps the movie also made me a bit uncomfy which was added by those somethings coming from the grave.

Enough of blaming the movie, yes, the cinematograpy was great. Nice characters. Nice story. Finally, Pinoys have learned to become "proffessionals" in producing quality horror flicks. Nice Sir Chito (hope I could meet him before I pass out).

Have I mentioned that I watched it with Him? Bad ending. Again, exchange of words and everything just doesn't make sense.

And he is blaming me (although he did show it but I know it).

Hail to the CD's. Thanks for the mess.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jenel brought a new shoe while I picked-up a bargained blouse. Jash slept while we were haggling and our arms almost broke because he wants us to carry him.

Well, he is our baby. Still a baby. Always a baby.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Feeling a bit better now.

For another week of struggle and hardships, smiles and laughters. Let's all pass by.

Me signing off.

Tickle Tests

Hmmm well.. does anyone also answered the same questions that i did a few minutes ago?
'Twaz so interesting answering... below is the conclusion re: the test i took up on "Why are you still Single?"
Jaki, you're single because you don't want to settle.

You, more than others, have a fairy tale fantasy of how things should be. Ever since you were a kid, you've probably dreamed of the perfect wedding, coming home to a white picket fence, dog, and 2.2 kids (how does that work, anyway?). When someone asks what you're looking for, you don't skip a beat: You're likely to have a handy checklist that details your perfect partner. Hair and eye color, height, religion, education, career, interests, the list goes on.While it's great to have standards — Hey, you shouldn't have to settle, after all — there's one slight glitch in your master plan: No one has made the grade in real life — at least not yet. Next time you're out with someone, keep yourself from mentally checking that list, and give love — and others — a chance. That special someone who you've written off may be perfect for you after all...
